WE ARE ACCEPTING NEW REGISTRATIONS FOR THE 2027 SEASON!!!
Although the girls pickup season is active only during the spring and summer, player registration is open year-round. The total number of registered players helps determine how many pickup games we can offer (we are shooting for 2 games a week) in the upcoming 2027 season. With enough player registrations, we plan to offer a “Lower” and “Upper” division pickup games based on age and skill level.
Why register if you're only planning to play as a drop-in?
By registering, you'll gain access to BenchApp, our league's attendance and communication platform (similar to TeamSnap or CrossBar). You'll be able to see who's attending each game, stay up to date on league information, and mark yourself as available for games.
When openings are present, league organizers will fill any vacant spots with drop-in players from the spare list who express interest.
Lower (Middle School) Divison: Ages 9-14 years
Only If you are NEW to the league (did not participate in 2026 season), please complete the registration process by clicking the "I'm NEW" button below. This applies to BOTH new prepaid as well as new drop-in players.
If you already participated in the league as either a prepaid or drop-in player, there’s nothing you need to do right now! All 2026 players will automatically be added to the 2027 season on BenchApp once the 2027 dates are available.
Once the 2027 Spring & Summer dates are finalized sometime in January/February 2027, you’ll be able to prepay by clicking the GREEN button below (if greyed out, prepayment option not available yet). Prepaid players are guaranteed a spot and receive a discounted rate.
Prefer to play drop-in only? No problem! You don’t need to do anything. You’ll automatically be added to the spare list on BenchApp and can request to join individual games.
Upper (High School) Divison: Ages 15-18 years
For 2026, we did NOT offer an upper level division. BUT, for the 2027 Spring/Summer seasons, we are hoping to do so, but only if enough players register intending to participate! Upper division pickup games will be composed of high school aged players of varying skill levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) PLUS advanced middle school aged players.

Otherwise, check out the Virginia Girls Scholastic Hockey League which runs from November thru February. Join their league by completing their form!
Also, check out local hockey clubs to see if they host a 16U or 19U girls team.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!!!
If you are a woman over 17 years old who knows ice hockey, we also need volunteers to be bench coaches/referees! Please complete this form if you are interested!
There is no need to have official "certification" for either and no need to have a referee shirt! Just your time, enthusiasm, and experience!
